As a seemingly young boy, Harry Potter lives with his despicable uncle and aunt as his parents had died in an unfortunate accident. He then gets delivered a letter that would change his world. We follow Harry and friends as they begin their first year at the prestigious Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

This book is a part of the Harry Potter series of books made by J. K. Rowling that spans across Harry's life at the school. 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' is a prequel and spin-off series from the original series if you have further interest in the Harry Potter universe. There is also a movie adaption for all the books which I would recommend as well if you are a fan of the series as they are faithful to the books but is more character-driven than the books.
