In a dark forest we follow the young wizard Xar, who was born with no magic, as he tries every method known to try and bestow him with magic, even if such methods are forbidden. In a village where the Warriors live, we follow the young Warrior Wish who through uncertain circumstances holds a Magical Object which is banned and must try to conceal it through any means possible.

The Wizards of Once is a Quartet of books which is a part of the 'Wizards of Once' series that follows the adventures of Xar and Wish as they continue their adventure across what is now known as the British Isles.

If you are interested in the author, Cressida Cowell has also written another book called 'How to Train Your Dragon' which later got a movie adaptation.
